I love this office. My years of fear of dentists, due to bad experiences, has finally eased. I have no complaints. Every person on Dr Lemmons staff is great. My most recent visit with Dr Lemmons assistant, Kampbell Kizer went better than expected. It's so rare anymore to get the personal, respectful and engaging service that I receive each and every time I come here.

I was visiting Yuma from Colorado and lost a tooth crown. Dr. Lines replaced the crown and was awesome to work with. His Dental Assistant was very professional and espeically pleasant. They are a great team!!

Let me tell you, I was in such a grave state when I first came to Picacho Dental. I was ready to give up hope on ever smiling again with the amount of work I needed done - it just seemed unfathomable. But Dr. Lines had an honest talk with me and made me believe that I could be rehabilitated despite my fears, if we worked together. Just a few short months after I began working on the needed procedures in order to rehabilitate my smile, I can eat without pain, and I am gaining back my long lost confidence, which is no small ordeal for me. Dr. Lines’ work thus far has been incredible and I have never been more comfortable and in such good care as I am now. Kind of a long review but basically I highly recommend Picacho, 10/10. I switched to Picacho about a year and a half ago and I’m so glad I did. I originally made the switch because I had broken a previously filled tooth and was in excruciating pain. I tried making an emergency appointment with my previous dentist who did the (insured) filling but they couldn’t see me for over two months for the issue, even as an emergency visit. I called Picacho and even as a new patient I was seen and had my tooth fixed within a week. They are now my primary dentist. On your first visit you are gifted a little goody bag and asked questions for the staff to get to know you better, making it much more personable than other places. They offer a list of complimentary items such as drinks and blankets and much more to make the visit more comfortable. I have never had to wait in the lobby/my car upon arrival to an appointment, I have always been taken straight back. Appointments are easy to make and there are no crazy 4+ month long waits to be seen. They are very understanding when you have to reschedule appointments. Everyone is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. It is easy to see that their communication is top notch and everything runs super smooth. Prices are more than fair. Dr Lemmon, the hygienists and everyone else all do a great job. The place has always been clean, even while they are remodeling. Another thing I love about them is they offer more services than a lot of other dental offices such as minor oral surgery. I recently had my last three wisdom teeth and a baby tooth extracted, and had an impacted tooth exposure all at the same time under sedation and everything went great with that. I had never had surgery or been under any sort of sedation before so I was very anxious about it but everything went better than I could have hoped. I was given a blanket to keep warm, everything they were doing was explained, and they encouraged questions before and after the procedure. After surgery I was given another goody bag with applesauce, pudding, a protein shake, and tons of extra gauze. They went over post op instructions with my ride and also gave written instructions. They helped walk me all the way to my ride’s car afterward. They even prescribed pain medication for the recovery period which was much appreciated as I was fully expecting having to tough it out with only Tylenol and ibuprofen. I am currently post op day five and feel that the healing is going well. Nothing but good things to say about this place.

I have to say I had the most amazing visit with them today! From the ladies at the front to the dental hygienist to Dr. Lemmon, everyone was absolutely amazing. I went in pretty shook up with a sudden issue with my front teeth - totally thinking the worst plus with my prior anxiety of the dentist in general - I was a little bit of a mess. After many pictures and examining my teeth Dr. Lemmon reassured me it wasn’t as bad as I thought and offered to fix them that day on the spot. Normally with my anxiety of the dentist I would have to go home and think it over and make the decision but in this case I felt so comfortable and confident I agreed and got my teeth fixed that day! I am extremely happy with my results, the care I was given and how I was treated as a patient in general. My dental assistant was very catering and walked me through every step making sure I was comfortable and understanding the processes. I Highly recommend! Had multiple appointments for several different teeth. Every time I was treated very well. They always made sure I was comfortable and work was done efficiently! I never felt like I was stuck there for hours and never had to wait like at my previous dentist. My pain level even after getting home was very little to none. I never needed more than a Tylenol following any of the procedures. I was in my second trimester and they were very careful and cautious with the pregnancy. I also wasn’t pressured into opening a credit line like at my previous dentist. I was able to pay at each appointment with cash or debit card. If I ever need more dental work I will certainly return here.

So I want anyone and everyone to know. We have been treated like family since the start. Dr Lemmon is a very kind and caring Dr. He is a consumate professional and has a work ethic that is unmatched. His staff seem to love to work for him and emulate all his great qualities. I must specifically mention Mrs Mira, who is always helpful and patient and knows me by voice lol. I'm so happy I found Picacho Dental. Dr. Lemmon and his staff are awesome. I had not been to a dentist in several years due to bad experiences, but not anymore. Everyone greets you will a smile. McKenzie did a great job cleaning my teeth. My gums were not sore after. Dr. Lemmon explained what I needed done and took the time to answer all my questions. When I went back for my needed procedures the dental assistant Lupita explained what was going to take place step by step and calmed all my anxieties. This has been the best dental office I've ever visited. Both my son and I needed our wisdom teeth removed and a few friends highly recommended seeing Dr. Lemmon, saying he was the absolute best in town. The staff is so welcoming and give you a tour of their office, as well as give you a little goodie bag for your first visit. Dr. Lemmon took his time to review our x-rays and give us a detailed consultation on the reasons we need the extractions and what to expect during and after the procedures. When the time came, we were so well taken care of by Lupita; she made sure we were comfortable and explained each step before the surgery and gave us great post-op care instructions. I originally went to Dr Lemon 3 years ago and the experience was very good, so I decided to get more expensive dental insurance but only one dentist took it and it wasn't Picacho Dental and experience was not very good, so I decided to go back to Picacho Dental with no insurance due to the way I was treated and the over all experience and service from both Dr Lemon and the Dental Higentist that did all the cleaning for me. I did end up getting their in house insurance so that way there is no question as to where I will be going for future visits. I had an absolutely LOVELY experience at my first appointment at Picacho as a new patient. If you're in the market for a new dentist, I broke down some details about my visit that might help you make an informed decision in choosing Dr. Lemmon. Having been to several different dentist offices over the years, you start to notice the differences and can tell when a place knows what they're doing. First off, they offer a digital experience. The website is actually up-kept and useful. You can request an appointment via the website, and they actually receive and respond to it (I've had many businesses that just ignore online things and only respond if you call). Additionally, you can fill out all your paperwork on the website, so when you arrive at your appointment it's already there and ready to go. Gone are the days of sitting in a lobby with a clipboard, filling out actual papers with a pen. This is also very efficient and a good use of time, because this allows the office to review your info before you get there, rather than briefly scanning it as they're walking you down the hall to your appointment. Every single staff member I came across was professional, competent, and friendly - on the phone, in person, and they even responded to my text one time! I think it's important to mention they are not that "fake friendly" that you get some places, but genuinely like they're enjoying their day and have the capacity to be pleasant to you. You can kind of tell the hiring style of different businesses, and whoever is in charge of the hiring here clearly knows what they're doing. When you arrive as a new patient, they even give a little tour of the office layout and let you know where the restroom is, how many hygienists there are and where that area is, and where the other procedures take place. I never realized this was something I'd like to know, but it was so nice to understand how things work there, instead of being led straight to a little cubby, and having to awkwardly ask where the restroom is at some later point in your appointment. This one little tour gave me a better impression of this office and how it's run. Another thing that stood out was how they actually seem to schedule enough time for each patient (I know, gasp!). They took time to actually ask relevant questions before my checkup/cleaning started, and had some good ones I hadn't heard before, like "What's most important to you with your teeth/treatment?" and "Do you like to know the details or just want to hear the bottom line?" ...Like, someone really put thought and care into every detail of running this practice! I was very impressed. Then, when the Dr. Lemmon came in, the Hygienist, McKenzie, very accurately briefed him with a summary of my concerns and how I'd like to be treated. Having had multiple hygienists poke and prod around in my mouth throughout my lifetime, the experience has varied. But today's cleaning was the BEST cleaning I've ever had in my life. I have very sensitive teeth, and this is the first time I've had a cleaning where they actually remember which teeth to be extra gentle on. It is clear that the staff here are more educated and competent in their given areas than other offices I've been to. Hygienist McKenzie easily answered all my questions, enabling me to take better care of my un-renewable resource (teeth & gums). You can see that tooth stuff is her jam, and she lit up when talking about it. That is what you want when entrusting someone to dig around in your mouth! Dr. Lemmon is also clearly good at what he does. He caught things on mine and my kid's x-rays that other dentists have never noticed or explained. He got leftover residue from Invisalign attachment off my tooth in about one minute, that the last office had told me would just have to stay on my tooth forever because they couldn't get it off. And when speaking to him, you get the feeling that he actually cares what you have to say, how you feel, how your experience was in the past and wants to improve it in the future. He did all this in just a couple minutes. But might I add, a couple very un-rushed minutes. There was never the feeling that he needed to hurry up and get on to the next person, and genuinely wanted to make sure any questions or concerns you had were answered. My kid and I had back to back appointments and we had to wait for a couple minutes - but after realizing the reason for the wait was because the dentist actually gives his patients the time of day, I was perfectly fine with that and will appreciate any wait time in the future for that reason. They actually educate patients, instead of herding us through as fast as possible to get an extra buck. I learned several things today, which is also something I didn't know I wanted from a dentist. There isn't much education about dental health, anywhere, I've realized. Just maybe the little comments while you're laid back in a chair with your mouth open, which isn't very helpful. This office actually sat down to explain the *why* and the *how*. I appreciated that. Lastly, this office is transparent about costs. I am forever scarred by the medical industry, where you go to the doctor's office and they rack up charges for this and that, and you're not allowed to know how much it's going to cost you until weeks later when you get a surprise bill in the mail. However, this office explains to you what they recommend, and then make up a detailed treatment plan and price estimate for each thing. HALLELUJAH! How this is not standard practice for every healthcare area, I have no idea. They even break down the recommendations by what's most urgent, so you can make an informed decision about what to prioritize into your budget. Wait, one more thing. They even emailed me my treatment plan with prices. EMAILED. I did not leave my appointment juggling piles of paper and little appointment cards that I'm going to scan the second I get home and shred. Nope, everything is safely in my email where I can pull it back up any time I need to, and this saved me about 10 minutes of scanning and shredding. It's 2021, and this office is clearly with the program. Thank you Picacho Family Dental! If I ever move away from Yuma I will be road tripping back into town for my cleanings.

From the outside, you'd never know the office was as big as it is! Upon entering, I was greeted with smiles and a friendly hello! I was given a token of appreciation, a water bottle, for being a new patient! That's a first! I was given a tour and could see that they have updated state of the art equipment. They offer a wide range of services as well!! Kendra Sargent was the RDH that worked with me and she was very kind and kept me up to date on everything that would be happening and explained everything to me. Met first with Hygienist Kendra who spent a few minutes finding out about me, what was important to me from dental service, any concerns or fears. I brought my four year old daughter who was accommodated and treated excellently to viewing a movie of her choice while she sat next to me as I received a top notch cleaning from Nicole. Kendra is fantastic! I have high dental anxiety and she was slow and gentle with me in the sensitive spots. When the first apt ran too long and I had a panic attack during it, she stopped, schedule me for another time and now keeps my apts to an hour. I highly recommend her and Dr Lemmon! This was by far the most professional experience I've ever encountered in any kind of doctor's office. I went in for a very painful, impacted wisdom tooth. Alaysia got me in within hours of my call. Magda was super helpful the whole visit. Lupita was very kind and took her time explaining everything. She showed me around the office and gave me information about the Dr. Magda introduced me to the hygienist Nicole she was great. Nicole explained each step and very good through the process. She showed me the X-rays she took, and camera shots, showed me what she observed and explained the cleaning process Once the cleaning was complete I spoke with Dr. Lemmon and he explained what work needed to be done and what should be done first. I'm not sure she knew what she was getting herself into, but she did it with only the use of nitrous oxide. All 4 out and headed home within a hour. In all honesty and candor, as an individual whom did not have the best relationship with a dentist growing up, I was extremely unsure of the correct way in which I could once again have the smile, that as a young man, I was complimented on quite often. A smile, that was once said as being "able to cheer up a room," and as cheesy and corny as this is sounding, that meant so much to me, that as a person I had the ability to bring joy, at least to that 1 person. JUST BY SMILING! Who could ask for anything more, right? Sadly, time and my own culpability diminished the luster and shine of the smile that could once cheer up a room. And with it, the confidence to pursue my goals. The lack of self confidence was greater than anything else present in my life (I'm not saying that I was locked up in a room and did not come out, what I'm saying is that I made sure to have the least amount of contact possible with other people) I was truly embarrassed to smile at people, I despised having to speak to people, and if I did, I tended to cover my mouth when I spoke to them. So needless to say, I was terrified about going to the dentist. I was unsure of what the prognosis would be for a person whom has been smoking for 20 years and had not been to the dentist in at least 5 years, my exceptions were as low as they could get. And while my own assumptions were far worse than reality, it was the staff at Picacho Family Dental that manifested my desire of a great smile into reality by providing the highest quality service they have to offer. From the very first appointment at the evaluation, to the extractions of my wisdom teeth and EVERYTHING in between, they were professional, compassionate, caring and up front about everything. They hid nothing and held nothing back when I asked or showed concern about a procedure or had questions about my insurance. The front office staff was always willing to answer questions and are very friendly, the Dental Assistants are helpful and knowledgeable of what they are doing, (I am positive that you cannot request a specific DA, but Karina is a miracle worker with the topical numbing gel, you feel nothing), McKenzie, the Dental Hygienist is efficient and meticulous at what she does, while being attentive to any discomfort you may be feeling and willing to work at your speed. Lastly, on a personal note, Dr. Hopkins, thank you for doing what you LOVE, you were on point from day 1, sounding like a broken record, you showed compassion in every interaction, and allayed every concern that arose with professionalism and friendliness. And while past experiences with dentist left lasting negative impressions, YOU and your team managed to erase every bad experience while creating new positive ones that will allow me to continue to enjoy my Refurbished (LOL) Smile. I was in the office within 30 minutes of my calling in and evaluated by Dr. Lemmon and his staff. 40 minutes later I had a bad tooth extracted. Very professional and thorough. I couldn't believe that they looked after my needs so quick. Thoroughly impressed. Let me start by saying I hate going to the dentist because it gives me so much anxiety. However, that is not the case with Picacho Family Dental. All 5 or more times I have been in the last couple of months (due to necessary dental work), I have been completely comfortable because of how AMAZING and caring their staff is. My first few appointments I was seen by Dr. Hopkins and Alejandra who are both super friendly and made sure I was comfortable while getting fillings, checkups, etc.. Last week Dr. Lemmon took out my wisdom teeth and I was super scared. Thankfully his staff is incredible and the two dental hygienists that were assisting him in my procedure did everything to help me calm down and ease my mind. I'm sad because I can't remember their names but, they were both sure to ask if I needed anything that will make me feel more comfortable, they told me of a few other customers who had recently had their wisdom teeth removed and how good it went, and the other girl even offered to hold my hand if I needed. I am so beyond thankful for the amount of compassion all of the staff show especially with the amount of anxiety I experience at the dentist. I have never had a better experience with any other dentist and now I can easily say I don't mind going in for my dental checkups. Thank you Picacho Family Dental!

Today was my first appointment at Picacho Dental and my experience was phenomenal. After moving from another state, it can be very hard to find healthcare that fits your expectations. The appointment process was quick and easy. After my conversation with one of the receptionists Alaysia, I was sent an e-mail thanking me for choosing them, and the paperwork to fill out which provided a faster, and efficient service for both myself and the office. Shortly after my arrival, I was greeted using my preferred nickname I put on the patient information document, which was nice. (With a name like mine, it can be hard to pronounce). I was then greeted by Jazmin, who was so pleasant and up beat during my entire experience. I admire and appreciate the brief questionnaire that asks about your needs and expectations as well. I was completely wowed by the menu they have to make your experience a comfortable and pleasurable one. All of this made me feel like I was not just a patient. When Dr. Lemmon walked in, he was very nice and respectful. Jazmin kindly briefed him on my concerns and dental history. Needless to say, this was by far the best dental experience I’ve had throughout my years. Picacho Dental really takes care of their patients. UPDATE 2022: Took my child for their first Dental appointment with hygienist MaryLynne and Dr. Lines, AWESOME Care all the way around! My daughter was very nervous, but complied with all that was done, MaryLynne was so understanding, explained everything to my child and made her feel comfy. Didn’t expect much going to the dentist I’ve been going to different dental offices since I was a kid but this place was really clean and the staff is super friendly! They get to know you and are great listeners. Had my first visit this week for a cleaning and they did a complete exam with X-rays. They have a camera that takes pictures of teeth and were showing me my xrays and pictures side by side on a big screen TV to explain and show me where a filling I have is chipped. They also Gave me a complimentary towel, toothbrush, and toothpaste. I was concerned with the price but they made sure to let me know all costs upfront and explain my insurance coverage before anything. My friend went with me and now she wants to go there too! Lol I’m so impressed with the staff and the office. This review doesn’t do them justice honestly. By far the most unique and personalized experience I’ve ever had. Highly recommend!

12/21/2018-We are from out of town and I lost a filling the Friday before Christmas. So I had to go almost a full week before I could find a dentist open to treat me and . could look at my tooth because of the holiday. We made an appointment with Picscho Family Dentistry. All the staff was excellent and they had worked me in and evaluated my situation. They gave expert and very professional advice and was considerate of the best solution at the best price. They worked me in again the next day (working during their lunch hour) to get my treatment started. They are very compassionate people who truly care about your best outcome. I will be back whenever necessary. December 27, 2018 3/4/2019-The staff is always very friendly but professional. They promote an atmosphere of peace and calm to your visit. I needed 2 wisdom teeth and another tooth extraction done. I had minor sedation. Dr Lemmon took only 5-10 minutes to extract 3 teeth after getting numbed. It went so quick and painless. I did not have any pain afterwards either. The most I felt was a very minor headache but no pain where my teeth were extracted!!I was completely astonished how good I felt after the numbness wore off. I love this dentist office and staff more than any other I have been to in my entire 63 years of life!! They will be my dentist whenever I am in Yuma and so thankful I found them!! Highly recommended!!

When I first came to Dr. Lemmon, mistakes made by previous dentists had left me able to eat only soft foods. I couldn't go out, because I wouldn't be able to find anything I could eat. When I did go somewhere, the first thing I would do was look for a place to plug in my portable blender! After a careful and thoughtful analysis of my situation, Dr. Lemmon replaced several poorly aligned crowns. Now, for the first time in years, I can eat normally! PHENOMENAL EXPERIENCE I haven't been to a dentist in a couple years. Mainly due to no insurance. But also because I'm not a person who likes to go to dentists. Past experience has always been a nightmare because I would always feel like I was walking into a car dealership. "Here's how much for this and that service. This is your credit report and to do ANY work you need to sign a contract agreeing to pay (hundreds of dollars) per month..." I could never have any work done because I couldn't afford the contract. DR LEMMON and ALL HIS STAFF were so nice, professional, welcoming, making sure that the Dr knew your personal needs and fears. He took care of an emergency situation for me, even though I couldn't pay for more than a small office visit type charge, because my dental insurance company had already closed for the day. Made an appt to go back and see him the next day and I actually LOOK FORWARD to it. Phenomenal experience is the only way I can describe my visit!

I've been seeing Dr. Lemmon for 4 years now. I was referred to him from another dental company in Yuma because he does a great job removing wisdom teeth. Well, the service was so good I never went back to the other dental office. I had one wisdom tooth removed in Mexico and had a horrible experience (pain, swelling, and permanent nerve damage). Dr. Lemmon treated me very well and we actually decided to get the rest of the 3 wisdom teeth removed at once plus an extra tooth. I felt no pain after the surgery and had no fever at all. My swelling was very minimal, he is a great doctor. The reasons I'm giving a 5 star rating are: 1. CLEAN The staff is very clean. I often see them sanitizing the head rest, X ray handles, and sun glasses that you need to protect your eyes. The office is always neat and organized. 2. PROFESSIONAL The front desk staff is so kind. I do have to admit I would sometimes feel frustrated with so many reminder calls for my next appointment. One morning I showed up to an appointment the front desk lady asked me if I preferred text reminders. I of course said YES! And that's how I get my reminders from now on. I love it! 3. FRIENDLY Dr. Lemmon is actually really nice and down to earth. He even speaks Spanish which I think is awesome! I work at a local school and help students decide on careers, Dr. Lemmon is a great reference to students. This speaks so well of his character and it's obvious that he is community oriented. I live in Somerton and there are plenty of dental offices closer to home, but the extra 10 minutes to get to his office is totally worth it. I have referred my mom, brother, and multiple friends. Give his office a try, you will see and feel the difference!

About a year and a half ago, I called local dental laboratories to request the name of an excellent, progressive general dentist since I needed a considerable amount of dental work, and the consensus was that Dr. Lemmon was the best choice. I am happy to report that I couldn't be more pleased with the quality and preciseness of his work and the practice he has created. His office staff is experienced, caring and efficient. Rachel, a bright light at the front desk, has a caring way that makes people feel important, in my situation as well, even before my very first appointment as she juggled time around my challenging work schedule. Needed an emergency early morning appointment because my son broke his front tooth. The staff got us an appointment within 30 minutes of my call. They had toys for kids to play with in the lobby so my other two kids were entertained while I waited. I have a long history of dental problems resulting from having poor dental care as a child, no insurance as a young adult, and 20 years of cigarette smoking. I quit smoking in 1996, and a year later, had all of my dental issues treated and a lot of cosmetic work. My ongoing dental care since that time includes deep scaling, bone grafts, and major cosmetic and reconstructive work, including one dental implant. I have also been extremely conscientious about my dental care since that time. I floss at least once daily, brush at least twice daily, use a proxabrush to clean between my teeth, brush for at least 2 minutes daily with a Sonicare toothbrush, and end each day with a 30-second Listerine rinse. In addition, I have my teeth professionally cleaned every 3 months. My husband and I sold our business and retired in 2011, and in 2012, began living and traveling in our RV full-time. In November 2013, we began working as activities directors for an RV park in Yuma. Not long after our arrival, a very old gold crown came off while I was flossing on the first night of a holiday weekend. I wasn't too concerned because this crown had come off once before. My regular dentist had been able to put it back on, and it had stayed for a couple of years. But something was different this time . . . it seemed that something had shifted, and I had some pain in my lower jaw. After checking our insurance for preferred providers in Yuma, I called and left a message for Picacho Family Dental. The care that I received during our stay in Yuma was nothing short of outstanding. My overall dental health is dramatically improved since beginning treatment with Picacho. This practice is, without exaggeration, the most thorough and technoligically advanced that I have ever experienced. When there was a question in Dr. Lemmon's mind regarding a root canal, I was referred to an endodontist, but all other care was provided at Picacho, including another root canal, crown replacement, deep scaling and laser therapy for my gum disease. A couple of specific examples regarding the excellence of the care I received are: - In a mouthful of crowns and veneers, I have NEVER before had a crown installed that required absolutely no adjustment. It was a perfect fit the first time. - The results of the laser therapy have been amazing. I hoped for improvement over time, but had relief from pain literally overnight, and dramatic reductions in my periodontal probe numbers with each treatment. With another 5 months in Yuma next season, I can't wait to see how much I continue to improve! The entire staff at Picacho has been wonderful to work with. I highly recommend Picacho Family Dental to everyone in the Yuma area!

Our family are patients a Picacho Dental, the service is outstanding and the quality of work is the best in town. We first started going there after my daughter had broken one of her adult teeth in half while playing (fighting) with her brother; of course this was on a Friday night so I looked online as far as what to do and it said to find a dentist right away. Of course this being Yuma most doctors/dentist don't see patients on a Friday and it's almost unheard of for them to come in on a Saturday unless it's an emergency. Except for Dr. Lemmon and the great staff at Picacho Family Dental. I called them that night and first thing in the morning they called back and told me to bring my daughter in. Dr. Lemmon repaired my daughters tooth so well that you can't tell it was ever broken. I was expecting all of this to cost thousands of dollars but it was less than three hundred for everything; root canal, x-rays, making a new upper part of the tooth to replace the piece that broke off, etc. Also since I paid cash in full I also got a discount for that, most other places give you an attitude if you don't have insurance, but not here. Also Dr. Lemmon is from Yuma so he has roots here and cares about his patients.
